Digital reporting programme

Despite nearly every industry now involving a range of digital skills, there is still a shortage of these skills among media professionals. The aim of this programme is to establish a network of women media professionals with advanced skills in data journalism, managing digital information, creating basic and advanced digital content, and publishing digital content for successful progress in their respective organizations. This project is implemented by African Women in Media in partnership with Fojo Media Institute and comprises of two courses.

1. Data Journalism

This course will explore the use of data in journalism. Learners will gain critical insight on how to mine and analyse digitised information, how to use data tools, how to scrutinise and interpret data for deeper and more compelling visualisation and storytelling. 2. Digital Publishing

This course will focus on equipping beginners and intermediate learners with the skills to not only create and publish digital content, but also with the tools they need to understand the myriad changes and challenges arising from the digital revolution.
