 Ex -Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Affairs Bianca Ojukwu becomes Minister in Nigeria 

Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, a seasoned politician, lawyer and established business mogul has been appointed as Nigeria’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs at the Federal Executive Council(FEC) meeting on the 23rd of October 2024.

 Malawi Politician accused of plotting to kill the President 

Patricia Kaliati, Secretary-General of the UTM party has been charged with plotting to kill Malawi’s president, Lazarus Chakwera.

Appearing on Monday at a court in Malawi’s capital, Lilongwe, the 57-year-old did not speak. But her lawyer argued that the politician maintained her innocence, local media reports.

 Africa Women Development Fund announces  new Director of Program 

A Feminist icon who possesses vast experience in implementing impact advocacy campaigns, capacity building and behavioural change communication in Zambia and across East and Southern Africa, Nana Zulu has become the new Director of Programmes of the African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF). The organisation announced the appointment on October 22, 2024. 

CAF awards Super Eagles fined Libya $50000

Nigeria has been awarded a 3-0 victory over Libya by the disciplinary committee of the Confederation of African Football, and three vital points, from their scheduled Africa Cup of Nations qualifier earlier this month which they refused to play after being stuck in a remote Libyan airport for half a day before the match.

Sudanese  Paramilitary Group RSF kill Scores in attac

About 124 people were killed in a village south of Sudan’s capital Khartoum on Friday by the Rapid Support Force in an attack.

The RSF has been battling the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) for control of the country since April last year. Both forces have been accused of killing civilians. 

Hope  for Rwanda as  Marburg virus infection rate Declines 

Health Minister Sabin Nsanzimana revealed that the country is experiencing a significant decline in the rate of new infection since the outbreak in September, a new case or death from the virus has not been recorded in about a week.

Seven footballers Die in  bus crash in Zambia

Zambian football is mourning after seven players from Chavuma Town Council FC were killed while twelve others were injured in a bus crash 9j Saturday while they were travelling on a third-tier league game in the northwest of the country.
