AWiM is delighted to announce the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, (UNESCO) as Partner for its 8th annual conference from ’5 – 6’ December, 2024, in the Senegalese Capital of Dakar.
UNESCO would be joining Article 19 Senegal, the country host as one of the partners at the much–anticipated AWiM 2024 conference, with the theme, ‘Media and Sustainability’.
AWiM24 conference focuses on three main perspectives: media business and financial models, sustainable development goals and Artificial Intelligence. The conference promises an exciting lineup of sessions. From robust panels to comprehensive workshops, exciting exhibitions, and inspiring fireside chats
UNESCO would be hosting some of the most engaging sessions at the two–day conference. The sessions include: safeguarding Journalists and defending press freedoms, charting a course for media sustainability through Regulation and Policy, developing tools and resources towards adoption of the Kigali Declaration in newsrooms in Africa and a workshop focused on challenging the underrepresentation of women in the news industry.
